LegalSlip Terms of Use
Version legal-terms-2026-10-17

These terms are a draft product agreement between a subscribing law firm and UCPlaces LLC, a Virginia limited liability company with its principal address at 303 Maple Ave W, Suite F, Vienna, VA 22180, doing business as LegalSlip.

1. The service. LegalSlip lets a firm publish intake forms, receive client information, and send documents for signature. It is not a law firm. LegalSlip is not a lawyer-referral service and it does not give legal advice.

2. The customer. The subscribing firm is the customer. Clients and referring attorneys do not buy a subscription and do not receive a firm account by filling out a form.

3. Plans. Basic is 19 US dollars per firm per month. Pro is 30 US dollars per firm per month. Group is 55 US dollars per firm per month. An extra user is 3 US dollars per user per month. These amounts are still to be confirmed. Taxes, if any, are additional.

4. Acceptable use. Do not share logins. Do not attempt to access another firm's records. Do not upload malware. Do not use the service to offer legal advice as if it came from LegalSlip.

5. Client information. The firm decides what to collect. The firm is responsible for its staff, its website, and its own records. LegalSlip stores submissions so the firm can read them, send a notice that omits the substance, and keep a copy for the retention period the firm chooses.

6. E-sign limits. Electronic signatures under the ESIGN Act and UETA do not cover wills, codicils, or testamentary trusts. Deeds usually need notarization. The firm decides which documents are fit to sign here.

7. No privilege from us. A confidentiality footer on email is a handling note. It does not create an attorney-client relationship with LegalSlip and it is not a claim of privilege.

8. Availability. The service is provided as available. A submission is received only after the firm sees a receipt number.

9. Cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. The firm can export its records during the stated window. Unpaid status does not delete records by itself.

10. Contact. Use the contact form for account questions. Do not include client names or matter details in support messages.
